Supporting students, especially during their critical first year of graduate study, is a top priority at Scripps Institution of Oceanography. Through fellowship support, you can ensure that Scripps continues to attract and support promising students and future innovators from across the country and around the world. These talented young scientists are the next generation of scientific leaders, those who will significantly influence our planet s future.

You can help by providing Scripps students with the flexibility to pursue their scientific interests free of financial burden.

We are currently seeking additional support for the following fellowship funds. You may also choose to create a fellowship of your own:

First-year Graduate Student Fellowship
Established to support graduate students in their first year of study at Scripps

Shirley Boyd Fellowship/Mexican Marine Sciences
Supports students from Mexico studying at Scripps

Michael M. Mullin Graduate Fellowship in Bio Ocean
Supports students studying biological oceanography with an emphasis on field-oriented studies

Roger Revelle Fellowship
Established in honor of Scripps visionary Roger Revelle
to support Scripps students

Richard H. Rosenblatt Graduate Fellowship
Supports Scripps ichthyology students working with the Scripps Oceanographic Collections

Fred Noel and Sally Spiess Fellowship in Physical Oceanography
Supports first-year graduate students studying physical oceanography

Mia J. Tegner Memorial Fellowship
Supports Scripps students studying coastal ecology
