Scripps Institution of Oceanography presents lecture series to help communicate the details and significance of Scripps science to the public. Lectures are presented by scientists, students, and leaders at Scripps on a variety of topics ranging from climate change and earthquakes to sharks and coral reefs the entire broad range of topics being studied by Scripps scientists around the world.
Perspectives on Ocean Science Lecture Series
Hosted at the Birch Aquarium at Scripps, the Jeffrey B. Graham Perspectives on Ocean Science lecture series allows Scripps scientists to present their research to members of the local community. Attendees learn about science at Scripps and how researchers are exploring the world on their paths to discovery.
Keeling Memorial Lecture Series
The Charles David Keeling Memorial Lecture Series is being established by Scripps Oceanography and the Keeling family to honor legendary Scripps scientist Dave Keeling. The intent of the lectures is to focus continuing attention on climate research and on the challenges of global environmental change.
Rosenblatt Lecture in Evolutionary Biology
The Richard H. and Glenda G. Rosenblatt Lecture in Evolutionary Biology is presented annually by a scientist selected for their current, outstanding scientific contributions in evolutionary biology. The lecture is open to the Scripps community and the public.
